Introducing the TS8500S Grating Spectrophotometer


TS8500S is a benchtop grating spectrophotometer which is developed by 3nh independently with core technology. It uses a dual-array CMOS image sensor to have high sensitivity and a wider spectral response range, which makes the test more accurate. It needs to use with SQCX color quality management software in PC, which is convenient and easy operation. The repeatability of ΔE*ab is within 0.015, and Inter-instrument Error is within 0.15, and measurement performance is super stable and accurate.

To extend the life of a haze meter, keep the instrument dust-free and clean, regularly calibrate it, and control for a stable dry storage. For better results, avoid letting the optics dry, and leave the meters under sunlight. For optimal performance, have the meter professionally serviced once a year.

A spectrophotometer measures the full visible color spectrum (typically 400–700 nm). It offers significantly higher precision and enables detailed evaluations – including spectral curves, ΔE values, and color distance measurements. The core difference between a colorimeter and a spectrophotometer lies in their light measurement methods. A colorimeter measures color values based on the tristimulus method (e.g. LAB or RGB) and compares the sample to a reference. It's ideal for quick, repeatable measurements under consistent conditions – such as in production or incoming goods control.

Accurate readings can be obtained by keeping the sample clean, regular calibration, control of ambient light and appropriate measurement settings.
