3nh launched new model YD5010 Plus Grating Spectrophotometer Densitometer with 45/0(45 ring-shaped illumination, 0 degree viewing angle), comply to standard  ISO 5-4,CIE No.15. It is suitable for using in ink printing, in Film Processing, Textile Printing and Dyeing, Plastic Electronics and Other Industries for Color Measurement and Quality Control;especially suitable for the measurement and quality control of optical density and dot enlargement in ink printing; and it is able to customize single aperture Φ2mm,Φ4mm,Φ8mm.

Under the 45/0 geometric optical illumination and the testing conditions of M O, M 1,M 2 , M 3 stipulated by ISO 13655 standard, the instrument can accurately measure the reflectance data of samples. Under multiple color spaces, it can accurately measure various printing density indexes, color difference formulas and color indexes, and can meet the user's regular testing of various parameters.

A Spectrophotometer color measuring device objectively determines the color of a surface. It is used wherever accurate color matching, reproducibility or deviation control is needed – for example in quality assurance, product development or incoming goods inspection.

Spectrophotometer color measuring devices primarily perform three key tasks:

Capture color information: They detect light reflected, transmitted, or emitted by a sample using optical sensors.
Quantify color data: They convert the captured optical signals into standardized numerical values, such as RGB, CMYK, or CIELAB coordinates.
Compare color consistency: They compare the measured color data of a sample against a target or standard to assess color accuracy and uniformity.


To quantify color change, take the original L*a*b* values of a sample, and reread after exposure or processing. Compute the difference as 1/2(Emut1 Emut2). The larger the value of ΔE, the more obvious the change of color is, which can be used in quality or stability testing.


Keep light booths clean, maintain the light source lamps, readjust the calibrated light source, and ensure that dust and fingerprints do not settle on the viewing area.

Smooth and uniform surfaces with a large amount of reflected light directly result in high gloss. Some of the factors are the smoothness of the surface, the type of paint that is being used, the thickness of the coating, and curing. The lesser the surface irregularities, the greater the gloss.


Pick a haze meter that correlates with your materials, precision needs, and applicable testing protocols. For lab-level precision, a bench-top version is advisable; for a rapid field check, a portable haze meter is appropriate. International standards must be met at all times.
