3nh launched new model YD5050 Plus Grating Spectrophotometer Densitometer with 45/0(45 ring-shaped illumination, 0 degree viewing angle), comply to standard  ISO 5-4,CIE No.15. It is suitable for using in ink printing, in Film Processing, Textile Printing and Dyeing, Plastic Electronics and Other Industries for Color Measurement and Quality Control;especially suitable for the measurement and quality control of optical density and dot enlargement in ink printing.

Under the 45/0 geometric optical illumination and the testing conditions of M O, M 1，M 2 , M 3 stipulated by ISO 13655 standard, the instrument can accurately measure the reflectance data of samples. Under multiple color spaces, it can accurately measure various printing density indexes, color difference formulas and color indexes, and can meet the user's regular testing of various parameters.

FAQs About  Spectrodensitometer

Opaque liquids and powders can be put into a cuvette for color measurement. 

Color evaluation will change based on how a sample is viewed.  A 45° viewing angle to the source is recommended to reduce shading and achieve consistent comparison.

A coating thickness gauge measures film layers by identifying shifts in magnetic flux, eddy currents, or ultrasonic echoes as they penetrate the coating. The gauge calculates thickness based on the magnitude of these signals. This universally accepted approach results in quick, reliable, and non-invasive measurements. 

Follow the calibration steps form 3nh. Don’t touch the sample and drop the measurement light to eliminate external light.


Standard models are available in a range of sizes, starting from small desktop units which are roughly the size of 60 x 40 x 40 cm, and extending to larger units which are about 120 x 60 x 80 cm based on what you need them for.


Compared to an analog model, digital gauges not only provide more accuracy, but also allow for greater repeatability and are easier to work with. Advanced digital gauges allow for features such as data storage and automatic calibration and statistical analysis. For these reasons, digital gauges are the preferred choice for professional applications.
